AANP markets and advocates for NPs extensively through multiple activities such as publishing position papers and statements, providing legislative testimony, and pro-actively participating in numerous partnership, alliances and coalitions.  Marketing activities also include production and distribution of branded television and radio public service announcements (PSAs), articles published in variety of newspapers around the country, resources for members to generate publicity in local communities, creation and distribution of NP brochures, and other materials designed to build awareness of the NP as a provider of exceptional healthcare.  AANP exhibits at numerous international, national, regional, state, and local conferences. 

The launch of NPFinder.com in late 2007 has given consumers an online  resource to help locate NPs in their communities.  AANP is also active in supporting collaborative agreements with government agencies, organizations within nursing and other disciplines, and with healthcare industry members.
