Important Information for Attendees of the AANP 2018 National Conference


Conference registration is located behind “A” Lobby of the Colorado Convention Center (CCC). Services include badge pickup, onsite registration, help desk and conference materials. Hours of operation during the conference will be:

  • Monday, June 25, 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 26, 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 27, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 28, 6:30 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.
  • Friday, June 29, 6:30 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 30, 6:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 1, 7:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Badge Pickup

Self-service kiosks will be available for, fast onsite check-in. You will receive an email from AANP before conference with a QR code. If you don’t have the QR code with you, type your name into the computer to print your badge. For your convenience, if you selected sessions before June 24, a copy of your conference schedule will print with your name badge. You can also access your QR code through the mobile app, which will be available soon. There will be a $25 fee to reprint a lost badge/schedule.

Speaker Ready Room

The Speaker Ready Room is located in Room 212 of the CCC. Hours of operation during the conference will be:

  • Monday, June 25, 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 26, 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 27, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 28, 7:00 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.

  • Saturday, June 30, 7:00 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 1, 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Non-CE Product Theaters and CE Symposia

Plan to attend the industry supported and sponsored breakfast, lunch and dinner events at national conference. Non-CE Product Theaters and CE Symposia are scheduled Wednesday, June 27, through Saturday, June 30. Some attendee restrictions apply, and detailed information is provided in the links below.

The Industry Events section of the AANP 2018 National Conference Guide also contains information about Non-CE Product Theaters and CE Symposia. If signs are provided by sponsors, they will be posted on event boards throughout the conference area.

Guests of Registered Attendees

NEW in 2018 – Guest badges may be purchased for $50 each for persons aged 16 and older at the Help Desk in the registration area. Guest badges allow entrance into the Exhibit Hall only. There will be a $50 fee to reprint a lost guest badge.

Presentation Handouts

Session handouts or outlines are provided online for most conference sessions. If you plan to access handouts onsite using your communication devices (including laptops), we strongly recommend downloading the handouts to your device before you arrive. You will be required to login using your MyAANP login (e-mail address) and password. If you need assistance, please call (512) 442-4262.

Limited WiFi service is available in the public space and meeting rooms of the CCC.

Online Changes to Your Conference Schedule

The last opportunity to make online changes to your conference schedule is Sunday, June 24, at 11:59 p.m. CT. After this time, please follow the onsite procedure as outlined below.

Onsite Procedure for Making Changes to Your Conference Schedule

  • If you wish to change or add a session, please wait outside the room of the preferred presentation.
  • After the first five-10 minutes of the presentation, if seating is available, staff will admit those waiting outside the room on a first come, first served basis. This procedure is not utilized for the Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) workshops, due to pre-requisites.
  • If you make changes to your original conference schedule, document these changes when completing the self-reporting process of session evaluations.

How to Claim CE Credit

To receive credit for CEs earned at conference, complete the short electronic evaluation for each session attended, along with a general conference evaluation. Once evaluations are complete, CE certificates will be available in the AANP CE Center by clicking on “My Account,” then “My Portfolio.”

Attendees will have ONE YEAR from the last day of the conference to complete the evaluations and claim their CE credits. Evaluations MUST be completed within that time frame. For best results, attendees are encouraged to use the AANP mobile app to complete evaluations during the conference. A Mobile App Help Desk will be onsite for support. Mobile App

Visit from your mobile device to update or install the AANP 2018 National Conference app. This app is also available in Apple and Google Play stores. The app helps conference attendees:

  • Navigate the convention center, exhibit hall, and surrounding areas
  • View registered sessions and add events to their personal schedules
  • Plan sightseeing and other fun, local activities
  • And so much more!

A Mobile App Help Desk will be onsite for support in the Registration Operations area in the CCC.

Benefit Concert Tickets

Join us on Wednesday for a night of great music as Brandon Ray, Filmore and The Railers take the stage! This concert benefits Musicians On Call, a nonprofit that organizes volunteer musicians to visit health care facilities and deliver live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds.

Newborns In Need

AANP's 2018 conference charity partner is Denver Health’s Newborns in Need. This program exists to give every baby delivered at Denver Health the healthy start he or she deserves by packaging Warm Welcome bags full of baby essentials and distributing them at the hospital to new families who are struggling financially. You can help by donating a onesie in the AANP Store or making a cash contribution.

All Housing Walking Distance

All hotels are within a short walking distance of the CCC. No shuttle service will be provided.

NP Focus Groups #AANP18: Communication, Practice & Member Retention

A limited number of NPs are needed to participate in six focus groups being conducted by AANP at the national conference. The focus groups on practice, communication and member retention will be held from Wednesday, June 27, to Saturday, June 30. If you are interested in participating, please complete the interest form and indicate which date(s) and time(s) you are available. Those who participate will be eligible to receive a $25 gift card. We are recruiting up to 70 individuals, so act now to save your spot!

Mother's Lounge

The convention center has a Mother's Lounge that will be available during conference hours. It is located in the registration area behind the Help Desk and is near the meeting rooms that begin with 100.
